Editorial Policy

Our Mission

CalculateMyW2.com exists to help U.S. workers understand exactly how their gross pay becomes take-home pay. Our calculator and articles are free, require no signup, and are written in plain English.

Sourcing and Accuracy

Tax figures used on this site — federal tax brackets, standard deductions, FICA rates and wage bases, contribution limits, and state income tax rates — are drawn from primary sources: IRS publications (including Publication 15-T and annual inflation-adjustment releases), the Social Security Administration, and state departments of revenue and taxation. When we cite a specific number, we check it against the official release for that tax year.

Review and Updates

Content is written and maintained by Tony Reaves II, founder of Toota Industries. Articles and the calculator are reviewed when the IRS or state tax authorities publish updated parameters, and corrected promptly when errors are found. Each article shows its publication date.

Not Tax Advice

Everything on this site is educational. Calculator results are estimates: your actual paycheck can differ due to local taxes, garnishments, employer-specific benefits, and other factors. We are not a CPA firm and nothing here is tax, legal, or investment advice. For decisions about your specific situation, consult a licensed CPA or enrolled agent.

Advertising and Independence

This site is supported by advertising (Google AdSense). Advertisers have no influence over our editorial content, the numbers our calculator produces, or the guidance in our articles. Ads are always distinguishable from content.
